KitchenAid K45SS Classic 250-Watt 4-1/2-Quart Stand Mixer, White

This model comes with three attachments: a flat beater for making batter, meat loaf, and all textures in-between; a wire whip for egg whites, mayonnaise, and more air-infused creations; and a hook for mixing and kneading yeast doughs. All three are solid in construction and easily secured to the beater shaft with a simple twist; untwisting them is a bit trickier because the attachment stems are short and can be hard to grasp, especially if they get the least bit greasy. The bowl itself locks tight to the base.

This is a necessity for anyone who actually cooks. I have mine are 15 years and my mother-in-law had her for 30 years and still works great. We do wedding cakes, so I gratuated the biggest baddest model (6QT) this year, the rule would be warm, but we beat the "H" from our icing. So I put an ice pack on the engine and that would keep some of the heat transfer from the icing. Do not use this model to make the paste heavy, but great for cooks regularly. PS Sears has the best prices

Have never heard a bad word about Kitchenaid stand mixer until I read one here from someone with the smallest mixer for large jobs. Over the last two years I have purchased a total of 14 mixers Kitchenaid, from classical to model 6 quarts at work ... All sale. Were purchased for gifts for my daughters, church members, choir director and friends. I bought 7 Classic models, 4 models and Craftsmen Heavy Duty 2 quarts 6 Professional for me. I have not received a negative comment. When you buy a Kitchenaid, do not buy by size bowl ... need to buy based on the size of the engine for the job you do. If you are constantly mixing bread dough doubles matches and very heavy, you need to buy a mixer with a heavy-duty engines. This information is available on the website Kitchenaid. The company tells us clearly what each mixer is capable of doing. I know women who have had this mixer for those who were married 25 years ago or more ... are still in operation. Are an investment, such as knives and cooking utensils good heavy ... no cook should be without one real, but should be smart enough to buy the right one. I just wish I had one when I started cooking 43 years ago, maybe I should not have tendonitis to mix all those cookies in hand with a wooden spoon! Worth every penny.
