Krups FBC2 6-Slice Digital Convection Toaster Oven, Black
Krups FBC2 6-Slice Digital Convection Toaster Oven, Black

Krups high-speed quartz heating system takes masterful control of heat in the chamber. Each set of quartz heating element, both top and bottom, is alternately powered at the full 1600 watts to maximize the effect of radiant heat. The heat distribution is aided by a special reflective crumb tray that directs this important form of heat to all corners for excellent results. Convection heat, important for longer baking times, circulates heated air around the food for the best result in the fastest time. The defrost function uses the convection fan only and gently and evenly defrosts food without producing hot spots. This 6-slice toaster oven has temperature controls in 25 degree increments from 150-450 degrees, a digital timer from 1 minute to 90 minutes and an auto shut off after elapsed time. For toasting, it has 9 levels or browning with a countdown timer. Illuminated LCD control panel with easy to use controls and high quality soft touch buttons, it has a digital clock that displays when the cooking functions are not in use. The non-stick interior surface is durable and easy to clean. This unit includes a non-stick bake pan, broiling tray and thermal resistant tongs for safe removal of hot pans or food and comes with a 1-year warranty.

Customer Reviews

First of all, Krups FBC2 looks great. Second, it is very easy to use - the controls are intuitive and simple. Third, it does a great job. This sleek oven is minimalist in design, uses fast and efficient halogen lamps, and does a wonderful job on toast and basic oven stuff, including convection cooking. I am not affiliated with anybody that would care about such a glowing review, I just love this thing. I've been looking a long time for a nicely designed, functional toaster oven - trust me, this is the one. Highly, highly recommended.

I had read the reviews about this Krups FBC2 and they are what convinced me to give it a try. For years I have purchased inexpensive Black and Decker toaster ovens but this time I was looking for something a little bigger. I don't use the microwave anymore due to concerns that it kills the nutrients in foods so I wanted something smaller to heat up my meals that wouldn't use the energy that my regular oven does. This little oven cooks just a little slower than a microwave when the convection option is used. It is amazing. I have had to adjust the temperature down so that it doesn't cook too fast, as a matter of fact! I really love it. The only minor negative for me is that it is big enough to accommodate a corning casserole dish but not high enough for the lid. To remedy this I just put a piece of aluminum foil over it instead. The oven is sleek looking and doesn't take up too much room on the counter top. So far it seems to be a well made oven. I'm very pleased with my choce.
