I bought this a month ago and it works great, and is super easy because of the digital thermostat. Works best and gets the most smoke flavor if you leave the vent all the way open and reload the chips every 45 mins. Soak the chips for only about half an hour, you don't want them too saturated. I knew ribs would be great, but I had no idea how awesome a whole chicken would turn out, really moist and smokey all the way thru. Everyone says it's the best chicken they've ever had . Cook ribs and chicken with a bbq rub at 225 degrees, for 4 hours and fill the drip pan at least half way with water at the start. Haven't done a brisket yet, or a whole turkey, but that's next.

It works great. You just have to get a feel for the proper amount of wood chips to be using as it is not set and forget. I feel it is far superior to charcoal smolers as you never need to interupt the meat to keep the heat going. If you have never smoked food before, you will have a learning curve and the instructions with the Smokehouse are very brief.
